Cadré regional 2 / CR2 Training session at YCPR Marseille / FRA

We went for our last training session this year to Marseille. 5 degrees, Mistral 30 knod's and 3 meter wave's made our sailing difficult and also unforgettable.

I never sailed in conditions like this.

The Optimist European Championship 2020

 There is good news and bad news.

The good news: Switzerland ist on the 3rd place in nations cup. Best ever result for Switzerland.

The bad news: Due to Corona, the European Championship ends one day earlier than planned. Minestry of health Slovenia has stoped our Championship. There was no Covid-19 spred or some other bad event but situation in Slovenia change also in a negativ trend.

In the selection races I made a few mistakes, but on the other hand I had several ranks among the best 10th, including a 4th place

This result was enough for me to sail for the final races in the gold group.

A good 10th place in the only final race brought me to the 18th place.

I am happy with the result, but most of all I am happy that we as a Swiss team have sailed an unprecedented success in the 3rd place in the nations ranking.

I would like to thank my team, to all those who have supported me and the team, such as Etienne Mille in the preparation, E.P. Burger as team leader and Luka Vetzel as coach, especially Etienne Fiault, Head Coach CR2 and Kilian Leray, Coach CR2, both my long time coaches.

I would also like to thank everyone who supported me in my sailing career and in my project ibiy.net/LynnNiederhauser / @ibelieveinyou_schweiz for the European Championship. It has become a huge success and I never thought that I would have such a broad support. MERCI

I need your help. ! Now

With the result of the Swiss Championship 2020 as best Swiss sailor Woman in the Optimist 2020 I also qualified for the European Championship.

In addition we will travel to Portoroz, Slovenia for two weeks to train and to sail the European Championship 2020 which was originally planned for Estonia last June 2020 and was cancelled by Covid-19. Now we have to give everything again, train a lot and prepare optimally.

But all this also brings a lot of costs and I will invest in new equipment, pay for accommodation and pay my share for the coaching and support.
